Kentucky Law Journal

Home

Founded in 1913, Kentucky Law Journal (“KLJ”) is the nation’s tenth-oldest continually published law review. For over a century, KLJ has published scholarly articles of interest to the legal community.

KLJ is led by a student editorial board with guidance from faculty advisors. Each issue features articles by leading national scholars and student-authored notes covering a wide range of legal topics. KLJ’s mission is to publish high-quality scholarship and to provide its members with rigorous training in legal research, writing, and editing. By publishing student work alongside that of established scholars, KLJ fosters collaboration, advances legal education, and serves as a forum for fresh ideas while encouraging vigorous debate.

Our online companion, Kentucky Law Journal Online (“KLJO”), publishes shorter works on timely issues of interest to practitioners, scholars, judges, and students. KLJO provides authors a platform to reach a broad, international audience and to spark discussion on emerging legal questions. You can explore KLJO at https://www.kentuckylawjournal.org.
